Free Spirit Fishing have always tried to produce the best quality fishing rods at prices that represent exceptional value for money.
The top end rods, the S Range and Hi S, all feature Japanese Low Resin Carbons and are assembled in the UK.
With the new award winning CTX range we use high modulus Korean carbons which are nearly on par with the Japanese materials but are less expensive. We have partner manufacturers that we have worked with for many years to produce a high quality product to our exclusive design that won’t break the bank. The CTX are assembled in China under Korean management as this is the best way to deliver the highest quality at this price point. To build it here would make it either more expensive and/or poorer quality for this money. This will be where people are getting confused.
Ultimately it is not about where it is made but how it performs and looks. The CTX range has gone through exactly the same design and development process as all other rods and blanks in our ranges, including rigorous test casting by Mark Hutchinson who can vouch for their strength and durability.
