But back to your question - the thinking behind it came after watching a carp getting away with it and realising that they were getting hooked up and not bolting. I watched that carp, clearly hooked up, in crystal-clear, shallow water at Waterways; it just sat on the spot and I watched its gills huffing and puffing. I don't know how long it took but it seemed like ages, and then I saw the whole rig and bait come out of its mouth, and it just swam off! It wasn't at all upset, but I then realised that they were getting away with it, and they just weren't bothered about being hooked up any more because they knew how to deal with it.
As an engineer, I just couldn't understand how they did it, because a hook is such a fine piece of wire. How was it that through sucking and blowing against this incredibly fine piece of wire - the hook - which was apparently embedded in their mouth, they could get rid of it? I came to the conclusion that the key element was the boilie. That comparatively huge mass was like a balloon attached to the piece of wire, and the 'balloon' was what they were using to dislodge the hook. So, my way of looking at it was that the boilie was the issue because it was attached to the hook.
Вкратце - он смотрел и долго не мог понять, как карп избавляется от крючка? Он сидит в губе, но все же...
И понял, что только с помощью бойла. Дальше он сравнивает бойл с воздушным шаром и ...
